MISSION

My name is Makiah Caldwell but you can call me “MAC.” I am an American filmmaker.

My mission for this blog is to record progress as I shoot through the stars to become a film director and connect with other filmmakers all over the universe. I want to share the ups and downs, pros and cons, and my experience as a black women in this industry, although all are welcome. I am here to challenge myself, discover new films, and educate myself on old ones.

The name “MAC’s Journey to the Moon” is inspired by the 1902 film “A Trip to the Moon.”. An innovative film directed and produced by the father of special effect Georges Méliès.
